Locations

Tube Location

We chose Fulham Broadway station because it has much more space than other stations and a high ceiling. The roof allows a dim light, which would be useful for filming as we would need less lights ourselves. The high roof also allows an echoey quality to the sound, so the diagetic sound of the scene would be more interesting and less intense.

Inside the tube, if we film at a time where there are less people, it is surprisingly spacious. Also, the line runs outside for a few stops, so we could have shots with interesting lighting from the outside with shadows moving across her.

Street Locations:

We chose the outside of Fulham Broadway and the surrounding area for continuity as Margot walks to the office. The location also works as there is a lot of space, so it will be easy to set up the camera without disturbing people on the street.

The outer Fulham area is a good location as it includes many different residential roads. This would allow us to chose interesting angles to film the character, and also for some nice framing as most roads are very symmetrical.

The above and bellow pictures are particularly framed well and symmetrical, which would provide a nice shot of our character walking through what she considers a typical, ordered suburban area. This would provide information the audience about her life and the situation she is in, and her frustration with it.
